A Minecraft Movie Star Discusses What Video Game Movie She Wants To Do Next

A Minecraft Movie is in theaters now and is making a lot of money. A sequel is reportedly in the works. But what other video game movie might A Minecraft Movie star Emma Myers want to be in?

Asked by Digital Spy if she would want to star in The Legend of Zelda live-action Zelda movie, Myers said she would consider appearing in any video game movie. “I mean, whoever will have me in their video game movie,” she said.

“The Last of Us show is really, really good so maybe if they did a Red Dead Redemption, that would be sick. Portal would be good,” she said. “That’d be a really good animated series, or something like that.”

Myers went on to say, “Just put me anywhere,” adding that she would even play a background character in a potential Red Dead adaptation. “Like, it doesn’t even matter. It would be really fun to voice the evil robot in Portal [GLaDOS]; that’d be fun. Just putting it into the world,” she said.

There are dozens of video game movies in various stages of development at the moment, so Myers might indeed get her wish of appearing in another. It’s also seemingly possible she could come back if Warner Bros. does in fact make A Minecraft Movie 2.

A Minecraft Movie getting a sequel seems like a possibility, given that the film made more than $300 million for its first weekend alone. It’s now climbed to $313 million heading into its second weekend.

In addition to Myers, A Minecraft Movie stars Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Hansen. Its directed by Jared Hess, who is keen to come back for a sequel.
