Ever since Microsoft rolled out its Windows 10 Creators Update since April 2017, many of you may find that your NoxPlayer does not work anymore and be prompted with the below compatibility message: This app can’t run on this PC. This is because you are on an older version of NoxPlayer which was released before the Windows 10 Creators Update. We’ve improved Nox’s compatibility with Windows 10 update in all later versions. 5. Changed the interface of Keyboard control settings and File share between PC and NoxPlayer
In NoxPlayer, you could set up keyboard control to emulate physical tilting, walking and hand gestures such as swiping, tapping to control your game characters and play mobile games more efficiently on PC. For example, you could use traditional WASD keys to play MOBA game such as Mobile Legends and Vainglory on PC.
Sometimes you may encounter the below error message in NoxPlayer when saving your keyboard control settings which says “Cannot obtain the app name, failed to save”. You may follow these insructions to fix it.

First, go to NoxPlayer System Settings (the gear at the upper right corner of Nox window) >> Advanced settings >> change the resolution of NoxPlayer >> Save settings >> then try set up and save your keyboard control again.

If the above didn’t help solving the problem. Then quit NoxPlayer and all antivirus software on your PC and create a new Nox instance in multi-instance manager and try set up and save your keyboard control in the new instance.
If neither of the above solutions work for you, you could always write to support_en[at]bignox.com for further help. Make sure you send us a screenshot of the error message, your NoxPlayer version, together with the name and version of the game/app.

Before reading on, please make sure your OpenGL version is over 2.0. Download this tool to check: OpenGLChecker.exe
*If your OpenGL is not qualified, please upgrade computer specs or buy another graphics card which supports OpenGL 2.0 and higher version.
Solution one:
First please create a new instance and see if it can start normally. If so, back up the instance which is having error, then restore the data to this new instance and start. If it starts fine, then the error has been fixed.
If this new instance fail to start normally, it means the data has been damaged. Please see solution two.
Solution two:
Disable firewall and try again.
How to disable firewall? (Please turn off antivirus like Avast or Bitdefender first)
Turn off firewall in Control Panel.

If you have ghost operation system, the firewall needs to be disabled by command lines. Please open “cmd”program, copy [netsh firewall set opmode mode=disable], use right button to paste and click Enter.

Except for firewall, other antivirus softwares might block NoxPlayer from starting normally as well. Please turn off your Avast or Bitdefender or other antivirus and try again.
If the programs aren’t closed completely, open task manager to end the process manually.
If you have 64-bit system, please first find this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bignox
Find uninst file under this path, double click it to reboot NoxPlayer.

P.S. For 32-bit OS users, if your RAM is less than 4G, we suggest you create 1 or 2 instance at most. There is possibility that emulator reports error or stuck at 99% if you create more than 2 instances.

Editable Button (Macro key) is a newly introduced feature under Keyboard Control in NoxPlayer 5.1.0.0.
What does it do? Through editing the Macro Key, you could designate a string of actions to a single keystroke. For example, in Vainglory, during a battle/match, you could set the Macro so when you press a certain key it zoom in the map and when you release the key, you zoom out.
Where is it? To access and set the Macro keys, Click Keyboard Control on the right hand tool bar in NoxPlayer, then in the keyboard control panel appeared on the left side of the window, drag the Editable Button into the window and click the pencil icon on the lower right bottom of the button to edit it.

The two numbers beside click represent the X and Y coordinates of the click point on Nox screen, if you don’t know the coordinates of a specific button, simply click it and the X and Y coordinates will be automatically filled in.

The number showed here is the time between one action and next, measured by Millisecond. 1 Millisecond = 0.001 Second

These two commands are usually bound with other actions. For example, when pressed, perform a certain click. When released, perform another click at a different place.

The number after Loop represents how many times you would like an operation to repeat.

How to do this in Vainglory: Press CapsLock key to open Store and buy items, release CapsLock key to close Store?

During a match, Click the Keyboard Control button on the tool bar
Drag the Editable Button over the Store icon and set CapsLock as the designated keystroke
Click the Edit Macro button to open the Macro editing panel
Click the + button on the right of Press, you will see a “press” appear in the Macro editor box above
Click on the Store position to obtain its X and Y coordinates, then click the + button besides Click X[num] Y[num], you will see a new line of “click xxx yyy” added to the Macro editor box
Click Save to go back to the Keyboard Control main panel and click Save again
In the game, click the Store icon to view the items
With the Store open, click Keyboard Control on the tool bar again, and click the Edit Macro button of the “CapsLock” Macro you just created
Click the + button on the right side of release, and you will see a new line of command “release” added to the Macro Editor box
Click on the Close Store Cross to obtain its X and Y coordinates, and click the + button besides Click Xnum Ynum, you will see a new line of “click xxx yyy” added to the Macro editor box under “release”
Click save to go back to the Keyboard Control main panel and click Save again
Now, during the match, whenever you press and hold the CapsLock key, the Store will open for you to review and buy items. Accordingly, when you release the CapsLock key, the Store page will be closed.

3. Click “Bridge settings”and you will find there are two mode: DHCP and Static. In DHCP mode, all properties like IP Address are obtained automatically. You don’t need to make further settings. It’s very convenient. Then click OK and restart NoxPlayer to save settings.

When using NoxPlayer, some users may suddenly stuck at 99% and see the below error message: System error, please restart. If restart fails, you can try to recover to the original state.

This is possibly caused by your Avast settings which have blocked the proper startup of NoxPlayer. Please follow the below steps to solve it:
Open Avast >> go to Settings >> Troubleshooting >> un-tick the box before Enable hardware-assisted virtualization >> click OK >> restart your computer. Please make sure to restart your computer, otherwise the changes may not take effect.
